Poa secunda

This is a native, cold season perennial grass. It grows in early spring and reaches full maturity in early summer, where it will turn yellow and dry out unless there is enough regular moisture to keep it green all season. Does well with grazing as long as there is enough moisture. Not adapted to fire. Common animals found with this are grasshoppers, jackrabbits and rodents.
