Lactuca serriola (invasive)

Winter annual or biennial; 0.3-1.5m tall. Leaves pinnately lobed or entire; 5-30cm long; margins and ventral midrib are prickly. Flowers yellow, born numerous along a flowering stalk; cylindrical, broader at the base. Edible when immature.
