Perennial woody shrub ranging from 1 to 7 feet tall. Stems and twigs are reddish in color. Flowers are white or pale pink in large clusters, blooming in late summer. Also known as mountain spray or oceanspray. Seeds require more than 3 months of cold weather to scarify/germinate. Shrub is browsing food for wildlife.
